Out of interest, why do you need to? I haven't seen this problem myself yet!

Try something like this:
deny    \.[a-z][a-z0-9]{2,3}\.\{[A-F0-9-]{30,}\}$       Found CLSID in
extension        Attempt to hide CLSID in filename extension

Note that there should be exactly 3 tab characters in the line above.
