Hi Jules,

Dont know if this was reported allready, installed the latest stable:

Installing tnef decoder

error: Failed dependencies:
         libc.so.6 is needed by tnef-1.4.3-1.i386
         libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by tnef-1.4.3-1.i386
         libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by tnef-1.4.3-1.i386
         libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by tnef-1.4.3-1.i386

[root at vmx01 ~]# uname -a
Linux vmx01.prolocation.net 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 10 
16:05:21 EDT 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

You might want to include a 64 bits version of tnef also, you now try to 
install a i386 version on all architectures.

[root at vmx01 ~]# rpm -q tnef
tnef-1.4.4-1.fc9.x86_64

I have a newer and 64 bits tnef installed however....

Think the installer needs to check :-)

There will be a new beta with tnef-1.4.4 and an updated installer on the 
web by the time you read this.

It also looks to see if you're on a x86_64 system, but have an i386 tnef 
installed by a previous version. If it finds this situation, it removes 
the old i386 tnef before installing the new x86_64 one. If you don't do 
the removal first, as a separate step, the rpm upgrade fails as it's 
changing architecture.

I just checked sourceforge and found version tnef-1.4.5.tar.gz out there...

Julian,

Since I run from source tarfile on Solaris, I took the tnef-1.4.5
tarball from sourceforge, built it, and replaced the 1.4.3 version 
in my installed /opt/MailScanner-4.72.5-1/bin directory with the
new version.  Now running in this mode, watching the pot to see if
it boils over (or blows up).
