It also looks to see if you're on a x86_64 system, but have an i386 tnef installed by a previous version. If it finds this situation, it removes the old i386 tnef before installing the new x86_64 one. If you don't do the removal first, as a separate step, the rpm upgrade fails as it's changing architecture. Jules. Now running in this mode, watching the pot to see if it boils over (or blows up).
