Please roll tnef-1.4.2 into your next beta release, 
replacing version 1.4.  See:

In my case (Solaris user), 1.4.2 solved the problem of
a failed compile in the MS install script.  It may fix
some of the other TNEF complaints on the list.

Note, however, that I'm still running internal tnef with
MS at the moment.  I need to actually try 1.4.2 (maybe with
the first beta 4.56 release!).
